Armen Papikyan: Armenia ready to support CoE reforms![]() October 18, 2011 - 19:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 18, permanent representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe Armen Papikyan submitted his credentials to CoE Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland. Having briefed Mr. Jagland on recent developments in Armenia, Mr. Papikyan stressed the necessity of establishing a specific Armenia-CoE cooperation program, also noting Armenia’s readiness to support CoE reforms. The Secretary General, in turn, noted Armenia’s active involvement in CoE activities, expressing readiness to use the Council’s experience to contribute to CoE member states. The parties also focused on perspectives of development of ties with CoE in the framework of other international structures, Armenian Foreign Ministry press service reported. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
