VivaCell-MTS contributes to infant mortality reduction

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 9, VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian and BirthLink NGO Director Kathy Mellor visited neonatal departments in Maralik and Artik hospitals.

As VivaCell-MTS press service reported, maternity hospitals are in severe need of special equipments to save newborn lives from unforeseen complications during pregnancy or premature delivery.

“This is our second visit to Shirak region in the framework of Neonatal care project which is aimed at reducing infant mortality rate. People in the regions should have equal opportunities to receive medical services, especially when it comes to infants,” Mr. Yirikian said.

VivaCell-MTS has cooperated with BirthLink NGO for the past four years contributing to reduction of infant mortality rate in Armenia.
