Year 2011 successful for Yerevan Opera and Ballet Theater December 20, 2011 - 14:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The year 2011 turned out successful for Alexander Spendiarian National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, according to Theater director. As Kamo Hovhannisyan told a news conference in Yerevan, in 2011, the Theater featured 3 premieres: A. Harutyunyan’s Sayat Nova opera, Prokofiev’s Chopiniana, Romeo and Juliet ballets. A number of charity concerts were organised, with the proceeds allocated to purchase of musical instruments for the orchestra. The theater season will be closed on Dec 28 with a concert performance of Bizet’s Carmen.
