  Azerbaijan continues heavy ceasefire violations December 24, 2011 - 14:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Ceasefire violations intensified at the contact line between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces over the past week, with Azerbaijan firing around 850 shots from various caliber weapons towards the Karabakh positions. Despite Azeri army’s aggressiveness, NKR forces refrained from retaliatory measures, continuing with their military duty, NKR defense army’s press service reported.   Top stories Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. In 2023, the Azerbaijani government will increase the country’s defense budget by more than 1.1 billion manats ($650 million).
