Iranian FM dubs Armenia important neighbor

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is an important neighbor for Iran, according to Iranian Foreign Minister.

As Ali Akbar Salehi told IRNA upon returning from Yerevan, Armenia-Iran relations have improved since Armenia gained independence in 1991, with Ahmadinejad’s visit to Armenia giving a new impetus to bilateral ties.

On December 23, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Armenia for an official visit. Six agreements were concluded particularly in energy and economic sector in the framework of the visit.
