2 judicial officials shot dead in Syria

PanARMENIAN.Net - Two judicial officials were shot dead in the Syrian province of Idlib near the border with Turkey on Sunday, February 19, Syria's official news agency SANA reported.

Idlib Prosecutor General Nidal Ghazal and the judge Mohammed Zyada were killed when an “armed terrorist group” shot at the car transporting them to work, according to the report.

Their driver was also killed in the attack, SANA said.

State media last week reported that a director of a military hospital was killed by unknown gunmen outside his home in the capital Damascus.

Authorities have repeatedly blamed “terrorist groups”, allegedly financed by Arab and Western countries, for the violence in the country that has entered an eleventh month, M&C reported citing DPA.
