Qatari PM supports providing Syria opposition with arms

PanARMENIAN.Net - The prime minister of Qatar said Monday, February 27 his country supported delivering arms to the opposition in Syria, saying that the opposition had a right to “defend themselves.”

As M&C reported citing DPA, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Al-Thani made the remarks during a visit to Norway where he met with Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.

“I think we should do whatever is necessary to help them, including giving them weapons to defend themselves,” the Qatari prime minister said at a news conference with Stoltenberg.
