Killed Armenian businesswoman identified as Russian mobster’s widow

PanARMENIAN.Net - Business lady Irina Ziroyan murdered on Thursday, March 1 in Moscow, was the widow of one of the leaders of the so-called "Orekhov" criminal gang, Gevorg Ziroyan.

“She inherited from her husband rather remarkable fortune, including shares in various companies,” source told Interfax.

“A raid was made on one of her shops last year, during which Ziroyan’s son was shot. The crime was disclosed, with the assassin sentenced to 18 years in prison,” the source said.

“The evidence points out to contract murder. Killers targeted the victim’s head and fled by a car, the brand of which is being identified,” the source said.
