SOCHI ARMENIANS PUT FRIENDSHIP AND CONCORD MONUMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Initiated by Sevan Armenian cultural center functioning in Sochi Russian city a Monument of Friendship and Concord was opened in the city center February 5. Krasnodar region Governor Aleksandr Tkachev took part in the opening ceremony of the monument, that was consecrated by Russian and Armenian priests. Sochi well-known sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of Russia Arshak Beghian has authored the monument. Chairman of local Usta company Hmayak Ustian is the project main sponsor. As reported by Yerkramas newspaper of Armenians of south of Russia, a chapel will soon be built next to the monument and Governor Tkachev has pledged to assign a million rubbles for that purpose.
