Azerbaijan afraid to own number of victims in Azeri-organized diversion

PanARMENIAN.Net - After the failed diversion on the line of contact of Karabakh and Azeri armed forces, Azerbaijan continues with its deceitful propaganda, attempting to convince community of losing no soldiers to the diversion. Azeri side goes on asserting that the provocation was triggered by Armenian armed forces, the information being completely false, said Vardan Avetisyan, the head of PR department at Armenian Ministry of Defence.

As he explained in a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Azeri diversion group of 8 attacked NKR positions. Thanks to the vigilance of Armenian frontier guards, the group was practically eliminated. “Our sources reported 4 to have been killed, and the remaining badly injured. Azerbaijan side keeps silence to preserve the illusion of the invincible army among Azeri society. This is a simple method of propaganda.”

“In a few days Azeri authorities will own up the true number of victims, coming up with a different scenario of their death,” Avetisyan stressed.

As the head of PR department noted, one Armenian soldier was injured in a close combat. However, his life is out of danger.

On August 31, on the line of contact of Karabakh and Azeri armed forces, Azeri side made another attempt at diversion.

Armenian frontier guards, having noticed advancing movement of the rivals’ special detachment, took relevant actions, repulsing the rival to its initial position.
