Heritage: ANC should learn lessons of the past

PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of Heritage parliamentary group Stepan Safaryan said that the Armenian National Congress (ANC) should learn lessons of the past and review its political attitude to Heritage to cooperate with the party.

Commenting on Heritage opposition party board secretary Karine Hakobyan’s statement on possibility of unification with the Armenian National Congress, if the latter reconsiders its strategy, Safaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter: “I would not label it as strategy’s reconsideration. It is more important to review and avoid mistakes of the past.”

Safaryan added that Hakobyan is free to express her personal opinion.

At the same time, he said that many demands of the ANC coincide with the agenda of Heritage, but still there is need revise the political attitude and learn lessons of the past.

Safaryan added that the March 17 rally of the ANC revealed many things, including the opposition papers’ propaganda against Heritage for many years. Besides, it revealed the problem of personal ambitions, etc.

He urged to stop the insinuations concerning Heritage in the opposition media.
