Snap elections unmotivated, OY member says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of Orinats Yerkir (OY) parliamentary group Hovhannes Margaryan does not see reasons for extraordinary elections in Armenia. “There is little time left till the ordinary elections and snap parliamentary or presidential election is unmotivated,” he told a press conference in Yerevan.

Margaryan hailed the dialogue between the authorities and opposition, adding that suppositions on “other political parties’ jealousy” are ungrounded.

Asked to comment on OY chances to gain seats in the next parliament, he said the party “always enjoyed popular support.”

For her part, Heritage MP Larisa Alaverdyan condemned the Armenian National Congress’s attempts to pose as the only opposition force in the country.
