Top Armenian military officials arrested over low-quality supplies

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chief of Armenia's Defense Ministry armament department, General Mels Chilingaryan, as well Colonels Mher Papyan and Armen Margaryan were arrested late on Monday, May 30, advisor to the chairman of the Investigative Committee Sona Truzyan confirmed, according to Aravot.

Truzyan said the arrests were part of two separate criminal cases, including accepting low quality supplies and purchasing goods at inflated prices.

Another military from the department of armament, Colonel Davit Abrahamyan was earlier charged with abuse of power. Abrahamyan hasn't been arrested.
