Popok International Advertising Festival receives over 400 applicationsOctober 26, 2010 - 18:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The interest to Popok International Advertising Festival exceeded the organisers’ expectations, the head of festival organisers committee Armen Martirosyan stated. “We hardly expected to receive over 200 works, however 400 applications from many foreign countries worldwide filed; local companies submitted around 170 works,” he said. Application deadline was extended by 2 days by the request of Armenian companies. On October 26, 4 p.m. Yerevan time, Moscow cinema will host demonstration of contest works. On October 28-30, Yerevan will host Popok International Advertising Festival organized by the Advertising Council of Armenia. The event aims at providing expert assessment to the activities of Armenian advertisement companies, development of advertising art and training of experts in Armenia. World-known personages of advertising industry are invited to participate in the festival, among them, Samvel Avetisyan (known for promotion of Tinkoff brand), George Aghajanyan (responsible for Sochi-2014 advertising), Alexander Shevelevich (the winner of Cannes Lions), Tony Taylor (General manager of JWT UK company in Central and Eastern Europe). Guests from Georgia, Holland, Turkey, Iran, Baltic and Middle East countries are also expected. Master classes of famous advertisement experts will be held within festival framework.
