Armenian young people protest conduction of Azerbaijani film festival in ArmeniaNovember 12, 2010 - 11:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A number of Armenian youth organizations and parties have issued a statement to protect against conduction of a festival of Azerbaijani films. “As long as a part of our land is occupied by Azerbaijan and Azeris can force an Armenian shepherd to admit being ‘a subversive’, Armenians have no moral right to conduct a festival of Azerbaijani films. We strictly condemn the initiative and demand its cancellation,” says the statement signed by Hayazn union, Sargis Tkhruni student union of Hunchakian party, the union of patriotic youth and others. The festival of Azerbaijani films organized by chairman of the Caucasus Center of Peacekeeping Initiatives chairman Georgy Vanyan starts in Yerevan on November 12, 2010. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners.
