People with service record problems ineligible for school principal positionMarch 30, 2011 - 16:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Rumors that some representatives of examination board were bribed during school directors’ assessment process are untrue, according to Armenian Education Minister. As Armen Ashotyan told a news conference in Yerevan, the rumors are circulated by those who unsuccessfully tried to bribe the board members. As the Minister noted, were not the assessment process for Armenian school principals initiated, it would have been impossible to find out that 30 candidates had problems with their service records. In this context, he noted that a person with a problem of this sort will not be allowed to take the position of a school director. The assessment of school directors was launched in February 18. Persons, who do not occupy the position of a school principal, yet wish to receive a license, can participate. The license is provided for a period of 5 years. Teachers can participate as well.
