Glendale Memorial Hospital branch to open in ArmeniaMay 18, 2011 - 13:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of the board of Glendale Memorial Hospital Berj Jambazian said a branch of the hospital will open in Armenia. After a range of consultations, the hospital administration made the relevant decision, Jambazian told a press conference in Yerevan. “Glendale Memorial Hospital is one of America’s 50 best hospitals,” he said. As part of his visit to Armenia, Jambazian met with RA Minister of Healthcare Harutyun Kushkyan to discuss the hospital establishment. “We are going to study the field of healthcare to have an idea of what Armenians need to focus on,” Jambazian said, adding that studies indicate that Armenians are most of all diagnosed with cancer and diabetes. He added that the main center of the hospital will be located in Yerevan, but it will provide services also in the country’s regions. Jambazian also said currently they are looking for a territory, where the hospital will be constructed.
