Henrikh Mkhitaryan crowned Ukrainian champion with FC Shakhtar Donetsk

PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 7, FC Shakhtar Donetsk defeated FC Metalurh Donetsk at the Donbass Arena, being crowned Ukrainian champions ahead of time.

Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan of FC Shakhtar Donetsk said after the match that he had not wanted to win the championship in the match with his former club – Metalurh Donetsk, FC Shakhtar said on its official website.

"I must say I had not wanted to win the championship in the game vs Metalurh, but this is football, and we had to do everything to win this game. There are three difficult matches to be played, and despite of Shakhtar securing a title we will remain focused. Now we must make every effort to reach the Ukrainian Cup final," said Mkhitaryan.
