Azerbaijan going to withdraw peacekeepers from Kosovo

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azeri peacekeepers will be withdrawn from Kosovo, said Zahid Oruj, member of the Milli Mejlis standing committee on defense and security issues.



"Owing to the change of situation in Kosovo, the Azeri peacekeeping battalion performing its mission within the Turkish contingent will be withdrawn. Azerbaijan acts in compliance with the country's political stance," he said, APA reports.

In 2023, the Azerbaijani government will increase the country’s defense budget by more than 1.1 billion manats ($650 million).
The bill, published on Monday, is designed to "eliminate the shortcomings of an unreasonably broad interpretation of the key concept of "compatriot".
