AAA board member discusses Armenian issues with Vice President BidenOctober 6, 2009 - 14:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - At a recent dinner reception at Vice President Joseph Biden's residence, Assembly Board Member Annie Totah had the opportunity to express the community's appreciation for his long standing support during his tenure in the U.S. Senate. Totah also discussed the need for the U.S. to fully affirm the Armenian Genocide and urged the vice president to uphold the administration's commitment."We appreciate Vice President Biden's decades-long record on Armenian issues and strongly urge the Obama Administration to unequivocally affirm the Armenian Genocide," Totah said, adding that "Genocide education and affirmation are keys to prevention." The meeting was also reinforced by a letter sent to President Barack Obama, in which a strong call was made to reaffirm the Armenian Genocide. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
