Khachkar commemorating Armenian Genocide unveiled in Versailles

PanARMENIAN.Net - A khachkar commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide and those Armenian fighters who gave their lives for France was inaugurated in Versailles, France, on May 30, on a initiative of Antoine Bagdikian, President of Armenian Veterans Association, and Francois de Mazieres, Mayor of Versailles.

The Khachkar was unveiled by Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva Charles Aznavour and consecrated by Bishop Norvan Zakarian, freelance French journalist Jean Eckian told PanARMENIAN.Net

"We are not here to seek revenge but ask for justice. We thank France which was among the first countries to recognize the Armenian Genocide," Antoine Bagdikian said.
