NKR President visits Mardakert to participate in solemn eventsJune 28, 2010 - 17:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 28, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited Mardakert regional center to participate in solemn events dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the town’s liberation. The Head of the State laid wreaths at memorials of residents of Mardakert who perished in the Great Patriotic and Artsakh Liberation wars. During a solemn meeting, Mr. Sahakyan handed over awards to a group of fighters and philanthropists. In his speech, President Sahakyan noted that the liberation of Mardakert was an important victory both for Artsakh and the Armenian people as a whole. Later the same day, Bako Sahakyan attended the opening ceremony of “Arzi Group” plant of soft drinks. The President noted the importance of food industry companies from the viewpoint of usage of local potential, the Central Information Department at NKR President’s office reported.
