European Commission against Racism and Intolerance to prepare report on AzerbaijanOctober 6, 2010 - 18:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) will provide a new report and recommendations to the Azerbaijani authorities on the situation in the field of combating racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, antisemitism and intolerance, the organization said. The report will be prepared based on the results of five-day monitoring. An ECRI delegation visited Azerbaijan from Sept.27 to Oct.1, 2010 as the first step in the preparation of a monitoring report. During its visit, ECRI’s delegation gathered information on the implementation of the recommendations it made to the authorities in its previous report of 2007 and discussed new issues that have emerged since. The delegation held meetings in Baku and Lankaran with representatives of all relevant ministries, public officials, human rights NGOs and minority groups, Trend reported.
