Turkey publishes names of journalists died during years of Armenian Genocide

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Turkish Journalists Association published the list of journalists who died whilst fulfilling their professional duties.

According to Agos Armenian-Turkish newspaper, nine Armenian journalists, including those who died during the years of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, are on the list for the first time.

However, the paper wrote that they died during the tragic events of 1915.

The list includes Editor-in-Chief of Agos paper Hrant Dink, who was killed on January 19, 2007, as well as Rupen Zartarian, Siamanto (Atom Yarjanian), Erukhan (Yervant Srmakeshkhanlian), Armen Torian, Tlkatintsi (Hovhannes Harutyunyan), Krikor Zohrab, Daniel Varuzhan and Ruben Sevak.

According to Agos, the list is incomplete and will be updated.
