Hovik Abrahamyan, John Bercow discuss interparliamentary cooperationMarch 15, 2011 - 20:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian parliamentary speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, currently on a working visit to London, met with the Speaker of the British House of Commons John Bercow. As Bercow stated, Armenian parliamentary speaker’s visit to Great Britain will further stimulate interparliamentary cooperation. Abrahamyan, in turn, stressed Armenia’s interest in development of relations with Great Britain. At the meeting, Abrahamyan briefed Bercow about Armenia’s position on Karabakh conflict settlement issue and Armenia-Turkey rapprochement, parliamentary press service reported. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
