EP calls to avoid armed incidents in Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Parliament is concerned over the situation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone.

“We will do our utmost to secure peace and stability in the region. Armed incidents in the conflict zone should be ruled out,” EP President Jerzy Buzek said at a news conference with Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

Mr. Sargsyan, in turn, emphasized that official Yerevan’s position in unchangeable: the conflict must be resolved through peaceful efforts. “The OSCE Minsk Group is advancing in the right direction,” he said.

Asked about the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation, the PM said that Armenia stands ready to normalize relations without preconditions.
