Armenian Genocide commemorative events start in Australia April 15

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Genocide Commemorative Committee has released the schedule of events to commemorate the 96th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.

Western Sydney Region Commemoration Evening will be held on April 15 at the Armenian Cultural Panoyan Centre, with Vache Kahramanian, ANC Australia Political Affairs Director as keynote speaker.

Melbourne Region Commemoration Evening to be hosted on April 16 by Deakin University will feature Dr Donna Lee-Freize, the author book on the Armenian Genocide, Holocaust and Rafael Lemkin.

Ryde Council Memorial will take place on April 17. Sydney Commemoration Evening is scheduled for April 18. Keynote speaker is Prof. Robert Kaplan, University of Wollongong, who will also speak during the Wreath Laying Ceremony & Armenian Genocide Commemorative Lecture on April 19.
