Azerbaijani MFA blacklists representatives of Northern Cyprus who visited Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elkhan Polukhov said that representatives of Northern Cyprus, who visited Nagorno Karabakh, have been included in the “black list of persons,” whose visit to Azerbaijan is undesirable.

A group of persons from Northern Cyprus roughly violated the Azerbaijani law by visiting Nagorno Karabakh without Baku’s official permission, thus their entry to the country is undesirable, 1news.az quoted Polukhov as saying.

Politicians of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus visited Stepanakert as part of the European Partnership for the Nagorno Karabakh Conflict Peace Settlement project under the auspices of International Alert British organization. They participated in a roundtable on April 1-3.

Secretary General of the Republican Turkish Party of Northern Cyprus, former head of Lefkosa municipality, president of Northern Cyprus Business Association Kutlay Erk, chairman of Northern Cypriot Human Rights Foundation and member of the Supreme Court Council Emine Colak were among those who visited Nagorno Karabakh.
