We briefed Appathurai on all issues discussed during talks, which were often attended by NATO representatives.” As Usupashvili noted, NATO –Georgia relations depend on the development of democracy in the country, with opposition taking best efforts to succeed in negotiations with the authorities. “The position of Georgian authorities is strange, they’re not happy unless three fourths of the parliament consists of a majority, which is far below NATO standards,” he stressed.
