Russian official: Armenian, Azerbaijani intellectuals meetings will continue

PanARMENIAN.Net - Initiatives to hold meetings between representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani intellectual elite will continue, the special envoy of the Russian President on international culture cooperation said.

As Mikhail Shvidkoy noted, new ways to arrange contacts will be searched and new original initiatives put forth.

“We are still working on this issue and I cannot specify exact date for the new meetings so far,” he said.

In the meantime, Shvidkoy said that a visit to Nagorno Karabakh, Azerbaijan or Armenia by the representatives of the two countries has not been discussed.

“No ground has been created for this which does not, however, mean that we are not working at establishing new contacts”, he said, according to news.az.
