Cypriot Education Ministry contributes to maintaining identity of Armenians

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Cypriot Ministry of Education and Culture supports and contributes to efforts to maintain and develop further the national, cultural and religious identity of Armenians, said Minister of Education and Culture Andreas Demetriou.

Demetriou, who was speaking during the opening of a new hall at Narek Armenian school in Nicosia, said that “all three Narek schools in Nicosia, Larnaca and Limassol reflect our country’s multiculturalism and play an important role in maintaining the language, history, tradition of Armenian people and generally the Armenian people’s identity”.

The construction of the hall is part of Ministry plans to upgrade school buildings, the Minister added, Famagusta Gazette reported.
