ARMENIA ESTABLISHED DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH TIMOR-LESTE REPUBLIC

PanARMENIAN.Net - Permanent representatives of Armenia and the Republic of Timor-Leste to the UN Armen Martirosian and Jose Louis Guterres yesterday signed a resolution on establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. As reported by the press service of the Armenian foreign ministry, Timor Leste became the first state in the 21-st century to attain independent on the basis of the right of peoples for self-determination and became a full member of the international community. It was internationally recognized as an independent state in May 2002.
