Service for victims of Genocide to be offered in Yaroslav Eparchy of ROC

PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 24 in Yaroslav Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church services will be offered for victims of the Armenian Genocide committed by Ottoman Turkey in 1915, Metropolitan of Yaroslav and Rostov Cyril stated at the meeting with the heads of RAFCA (Russian Association for Friendship and Cooperation with Armenia) regional branch. Metropolitan Cyril will serve the service for victims of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey in Yaroslav Cathedral. At the meeting the participants specified concrete measures of cooperation for keeping and doubling the historical-cultural rich heritage of sister nations, strengthening international and inter-confessional peace and harmony in this Russian region, which is the second largest religions center after Kiev of ancient Russia and which has strong ties with Armenian Apostolic Church. In the near future under the direction of Metropolitan Cyril schools will be opened for Armenian children under Fyodorovski Cathedral. Such schools will function in Pereslavl-Zallesk and in a number of other places where a compact living Armenian population exists.
