Turkish parliament approved bill on universal presidential election

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Turkish parliament has approved amendments to the Constitution providing for a universal presidential election. The bill will then be submitted to the President's approval.



If incumbent Turkish President Ahmed Necet Sezer vetoes the bill the issue will be put on a national referendum which may be held July 22 simultaneously with the pre-term parliamentary election, RIA Novosti reports.
