Sooner or later Azerbaijan will have to settle accounts with Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - The OSCE MG mandate on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement is limited, and it does not concern legal aspects of the settlement, NKR President Arkadi Ghukassian stated to a press conference in Yerevan. He said, solution of legal issues is under the jurisdiction of the International Court. The NKR President also noted that he is disappointed by Azerbaijan's destructive stance. "Baku wants to make sure that the solution of the conflict would satisfy only the Azeri side. As to Armenia, it holds negotiations on behalf of NKR, but it cannot determine the fate of Nagorno Karabakh people," Ghukassian underlined.

Returning to the question of NKR's absence in the negotiation process, President Ghukassian noted that originally Karabakh did not agree on the current format. "The Co-Chairs and the OSCE Chairman-in-Office convinced me that it is not their fault that we are not represented in the talks. In any case, sooner or later Azerbaijan will have to settle accounts with us," the NKR President said.
