Resolution of Karabakh conflict to be reached through diplomacy, V. Yushchenko thinks

PanARMENIAN.Net - "I am sure that resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict will be reached through diplomatic way, with a formula, which will provide Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and a certain special status for Nagorno Karabakh," President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko stated in Kiev.

He said, the whole problem is if there will be enough political will from the conflicting sides in order to accept that formula, to have political leadership in their countries in order to prove the nations that actually it is a non-alternative way for settling this conflict. "There is no other way. If even someone does not like it, I think that nevertheless it is necessary to have political wisdom for giving a signal to the part of the nation, which may be today does not accept this variant," he said.

According to the Ukrainian President there exists one key problem in the resolution of the conflict - loss of time. "And the time, which we are losing today in the settlement process, does not give another qualitative resolution, and that's why Ukraine's stance is the following: we are ready to direct all our resources to optimize the dialog on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement," Viktor Yushchenko underscored, "Trend" reports.
