Neither embassy would comment on the nature of the threat."The embassy is closed due to some local security concerns. The situation will be kept under review," a spokeswoman for the British embassy said. A spokesman for the U.S. embassy said, "The embassy has gone to limited operations in connection with a threat against the embassy," Reuters reports. As reported by Day.az, the office of BP Azerbaijan was also closed today as a preventive measure. Meanwhile the Azeri Ministry of Interior, Ministry of National Security and Ministry of Foreign Affairs said they are not aware of the threat. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
