Kocharian: final resolution of Karabakh problem impossible before 2008 elections

PanARMENIAN.Net - Final resolution of the Nagorno Karabakhis impossible before the 2008 presidential elections, Armenian President Robert Kocharian said.

"There is some progress but I am not so optimistic to suppose that it could lead to concrete results before the presidential elections. The process is going on. It has its positive and negatives sides," he said.

"The draft on the table proves that the negotiation process has advanced. However, Baku's militant statements produce an impression that there is no process at all. Thus, we don't have ground for optimism. There are threats and we should keep this fact in mind," the President said.
