Iranian people share Armenian pain

PanARMENIAN.Net - People of Iran share the Armenian pain, said Seyed Ali Saghaeyan, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia.



"Working jointly in the name of justice and humanism, we will assure recognition and condemnation of all genocides. We express our sympathy and understanding with the Armenian people," he said after laying a wreath to the Memorial to Armenian Genocide victims today.



The Armenian Genocide is the first genocide of the 20th century. Over 1.5 million of Armenians living in villayets of the Ottoman Empire were slaughtered during the period of 1915-1923.
