  Baku military expenditures to total $7 billion in 2003-2009October 18, 2008 - 14:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan spent $4,5 billion for military purposes from 2003 to 2008, the figure growing from $163 million in 2003 up to $1 billion 850 million in 2008, AzerTaj news agency reports. Next year Azerbaijan is planning to increase defense expenses. Thus, the military expenditures will total $7 billion in 2003-2009.
