  Georgia not reliable partner for Europe any longerNovember 18, 2008 - 14:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgia is facing a regular historical choice: whether to "be friends" with the West against Russia or to maintain good relations with all post-soviet republics, Russia's ambassador at large Vyacheslav Kovalenko told a news conference in Yerevan today."Georgia is not a reliable partner for Europe any longer. New Europe - Baltic states, Poland, Czechia - still support Georgia but I think the founders of the Union will be left with the last word," he said. He also said that Georgia will hardly be offered NATO's MAP in December. "After the August events, NATO's euphoria to accept Georgia to the Alliance has waned," the Russian diplomat said.
