CSTO agreement on peacekeeping activities takes effect

PanARMENIAN.Net - The agreement on peacekeeping activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has come into effect after the CSTO Secretariat received a written notification on completion of essential procedures by the Organization's member countries, according to the decision taken during the Dushambe summit on October 6, 2007, the CSTO information support office told PanARMENIAN.Net



The CSTO peacekeeping forces can participate in operations in the territory of the Organization's member states and in other regions, by decision of the UN Security Council.
