France Telecom to make extra $70 million investment in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met Tuesday with the Chief Executive Officer of France Telecom (Orange Armenia), Mr. Bruno Duthoit, the RA government's press office reported.



France's Ambassador to Armenia Serge Smessov, and Managing Partner at Grant Thornton Amyot LLC (Armenia) Armand Pinarbasi also attended the meeting.



Welcoming the entry of France Telecom to the Armenian market, the Prime Minister pointed out to several advantages of this event, namely, competition in the telecommunication field, new investments and new job opportunities.



"The Company's activity will facilitate development of the Armenian-French friendly relations," he said.



For his part, Mr. Duthoit briefed on France Telecom's plans in the republic. "The Company intends to make an additional $70 million investment to offer services not only in Yerevan but also the regions," he said.
