Baku-Kars railroad may stretch up to Uzbekistan?

PanARMENIAN.Net - Navoi-Turkmenbashi-Baku-Kars is a prospective transport route which can secure export of goods to European, South African, and Near East markets, says a statement issued by the Uzbek Foreign Ministry on the eve of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's visit to Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan is exporting a part of its production to the world market via the city of Serakhs, bordering on Iran, the statement says.

Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are cooperating to develop and strengthen transport infrastructure and are working out new and economic routs. Thanks to advantageous geographic location, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have the potential to facilitate international trade between Asia and Europe, North and South, it says.
