Two Azerbaijani peacemaker platoons(47 persons), included in the Turkish battalion, are already located in Afghanistan. In October 2008, the Parliament of Azerbaijan made a decision on reinforcement increase, ANS-PRESS reported. Earlier the Azerbaijani peacemakers were settled in Kosovo. Yet, after the region has declared its independence from Serbia (which was dubbed as illegal by Baku) the Azerbaijani military were recalled from Kosovo. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive.
