Russia does NOT care for CIS effective functioning/collaboration

PanARMENIAN.Net - The CIS countries should fight the world economic crisis together. Otherwise, they will not be able to deal with its consequences, said ex-president of the UkraineLeonid Kuchma at the television space bridge between Yerevan-Tbilisi-Moscow-Kiev-Chisinau on "Ukraine and CIS countries under the conditions of world economic crisis."



The crisis will reach all CIS countries, if it has not yet. But so far, these countries have not summoned a meeting, they have not even met on a ministerial level-Finance Ministers- to discuss all common problems and the means of fighting them, said the Ukrainian politician. All this proves that Russia does not care for the effective collaboration of CIS.



Speaking about "Eastern Partnership" initiative proposed by the CoE to six post Soviet states the Ukrainian ex -head said that the CoE decided to use the inner controversies existing between CIS countries at a proper time and to its advantage. The CoE noticed that the member-states do not follow common principles and views and naturally offered its initiative and left out Moscow. Merely lending loans to certain CIS countries for fighting the crisis is not a solution to the problem.
