Suspect in Stavropol Armenian community head murder detained in Ukraine

PanARMENIAN.Net - In Kiselevka village of Kharkov, Kharkov CACP agents jointly with Sokol rapid reaction force captured Russian Federation citizen wanted since 2008 by the international police for committing 2 crimes: murder and deliberate damage to property, Vladimir Frolov, the Head of Central Administration on Crime Prevention at Ukraine Ministry of Home Affairs reported.





The suspect was charged with a double murder of Stavropol Region Armenian Community Head and his assistant. The bodies of two men, both dead of gunshot wounds, were found by Russian policemen in May 2007.



According to Frolov, identification of Black Sea Cossack army chieftain was found on suspect.



The suspect was established to be in command of RF Security Service, Mobile Police Intelligence unit on the territory of Chechnya. He wasn't officially registered during his stay in Ukraine. He found refuge at the monastery in Kharkov region, and later moved to Kiselevka to live with his relatives.





Currently the suspect is kept in of Kharkov Region's pre-trial prison, in accordance with Criminal Code of Ukraine, art. 106. The issue of his extradition in RF is being discussed, UNIAN reported.
