European Armenians call on Barack Obama to recognize the Armenian Genocide

PanARMENIAN.Net - Representatives of Armenian Communities in Europe called on US President Barack Obama to recognize the Armenian Genocide.



The address was signed by world-known chansonnier Charles Aznavour, violinist Sergey Khatchatryan, Armenian Federation of Europe Chairman Hilda Choboyan, Armenian Organizations of Europe Forum Chairman Ashot Grigoryan, IBF Champion Arthur Abraham and grandmaster Levon Aronyan. Thе signatories expressed hope that Barack Obama will remain true to his pledge that, as president, he will recognize the Armenian Genocide and promote Congressional passage of the Armenian Genocide Resolution. The statements also emphasized that Turkey has to come to terms with it's past to normalize ties with Armenia.
