"Relatively warm winter is the reason for reduced gas supply," ArmRosGazProm commented on decreased tax payments to RA state budget. Besides, VAT amount for services and products provided by ArmRosGasProm to partner organizations in the first quarter of 2009 totaled AMD1,7 billion - tax payment decreasing by this amount. As of Jan. 1, 2009, ArmRosGasProm tax payments exceed tax liabilities. According to RA State Tax Service data, in the first quarter of 2009, ArmRosGazProm CJSC paid AMD 3,4 billion to state budget. ArmRosGasProm CJSC is second on the list of top 300 tax payers. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”.
