EU to teach economy stabilization in ArmeniaJuly 3, 2009 - 15:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In July -December period EU consulting group's focus will be on two spheres: proper governance and economy stabilization, EU Policy Department representative Fabia Piana said at EU consulting group meeting in Armenia, summarizing EU consulting group's work of the first 3 months. As for the first direction, discussions on administrative management improvement, anti-corruption struggle, electronic management implementation were held. Human right protection works were conducted within national program framework. For its successful implementation of the second direction, Armenia should join free trade agreement. Reforms in the sphere of state purchases, intellectual property protection are necessary, as well as improvements in state duty and tax legislation. EU consulting group's 3-month work was summarized in Yerevan, within European neighborhood policy's Armenia-EU activity program. Work program for July -December 2009 was approved. EU consulting group meeting was headed by RA National Security Council Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan.
